About D.E.A.R
Twice a week we drop everything we're doing to read. Tuesday and Thursday mornings, from 10:05 to 10:25 a.m. you can see students and staff all over the school taking time out from our hectic activities to pick up a book and read, whatever we want, for pleasure.
Why do we choose to read? Reading informs us, entertains, relaxes us and we know is positively linked to academic achievement. At Haig, we think it's so important we make sure it's part of our regular school week.
To celebrate our readers we've posted some of our classes "caught reading" below.
